I think I have four photos of myself, none taken by my DSLR. One of the perks of being the one behind the camera!

As a twelve-year-old, I saw a couple photos that not only documented a memory but also infused it vividly with the context, emotion, and storylines which it was embedded in. Ever since then, I’ve been chasing that style of creation. Closest to my heart are the photos that happen when I pull out a camera during Sunday dinner or an August evening, the ones that freeze the people and places I love and can be used to give that moment vicariously to other people. Frankly, it’s magic.
